Record numbers for FX’s Falling Skies launch

On July 5th 2011, Walker Media's FX Channel clients secured an all-time high in terms of live viewers to the channel for a UK series launch. By combining the power of a new position on the EPG and the clout of a show with Spielberg directing and Noah Wyle starring, with a creative marketing campaign that reflected the scale & ambition of a lead player in the multi-channel arena, the result exceeded targets and delivered a share of viewing on a par with ITV2.
In ensuring we capitalised on relevant opportunities to showcase the dramatic and cinematic content, cinema, TV, Box Office, Digital Outdoor and Online all made it into the mix. Combined with press & online run tactically to drive tune-in , this delivered a rounded and exciting media schedule to entice & direct viewers and help make the launch a real success for FX.
